Visiting Midcoast Maine & The Camden Hills
In the heart of Maine’s Midcoast, our neighboring towns from Waldoboro to the south and Belfast to the north (reaching offshore to several islands and west as far as Union) draw visitors in every season. Thanks to our outdoor recreation, shopping, historical interest, arts and culture, and dining and lodging, the Penobscot Bay region offers broad appeal as well as one-of-a-kind attractions.
Throughout the year, Victorian-era opera houses and 1930s movie houses schedule concerts, plays, dance events, the Maine Literary Festival, Camden International Film Festival, and thought-provoking events such as PopTech! and The Camden Conference. The region also hosts The Camden Windjammer Festival, The North Atlantic Blues Festival, The Maine Lobster Festival, the Union Fair, the U.S. National Toboggan Championships, and many more uniquely Maine events!
